New York Cruelty-Free Cosmetics Act Signed Into Law

New York Governor Kathy Hochul has signed the New York Cruelty Free Cosmetics Act, becoming the 10th US state to prohibit the sale of cosmetics tested on animals.   In the US, California, Nevada, Illinois, Hawaii, Maryland, Maine, New Jersey, Virginia, and Louisiana have signed the act into law, joining more than 40 countries that already prohibit animal testing for cosmetics and the sale of cosmetics tested on animals.   The act, which will go into effective in New York on Janua...
